Kingston is part of the Silver Lake School District

The Silver Lake Integrated Preschool at Kingston Elementary School has been helping the children of Kingston, Plympton, and Halifax get off to a great start since 1989. Our program is designed to provide opportunities for children with and without special needs to develop cognitively, socially, and emotionally to their own personal best. Each of our classrooms is language-based. Children are provided with opportunities throughout the day to develop language and literacy skills as well as social inquiry skills.

It is the purpose of the preschool to help children gain a better understanding of themselves and those around them. They are encouraged to value themselves as unique individuals and to appreciate differences in others. It is also the purpose of the program to develop a positive attitude toward school and learning. To accomplish these goals, the preschool staff will facilitate, support, guide, encourage and instruct each child to ensure that every child strives for the best that he or she is capable of achieving. Our learning environments are child-centered. The day to day activities are language and play based. Our curriculum is designed to be developmentally appropriate as well as educationally challenging for learners of all levels.

The mission of the Kingston Elementary School is to prepare all students to become responsible lifelong learners who will grow to be active members of their community and society. We encourage our students to be respectful of themselves and other people and to develop an appreciation of differences in others. We believe in the shared responsibility of the family, school, and community in reaching these goals.

Dennett Elementary School is committed to providing a challenging curriculum to meet the needs of all students in a safe, accepting, and nurturing setting. Our goal is to assist each student in the attainment of his/her full social, cognitive, physical, and cultural potential. We believe in a three way partnership among school, parents, and community.

Silver Lake Middle School is a community built on respect, responsibility, and academic excellence. Our mission, in collaboration with students’ families and the larger communities, is to foster social, emotional, and academic growth in our middle level learners. In a healthy, safe environment, students are challenged by rigorous academics and encouraged by dedicated staff to discover and embrace their own unique abilities and talents. We seek to promote a pattern of lifelong learning that will best enable our students to be contributing members of society and meet with success in a rapidly changing world.
